Once the glow silicone has been powered up by the Kids Glow LED, and the natural light in the room, the glow silicone will continue to glow for approximately 30 minutes after the LED is turned off.
The total wattage of the lamps supplied in the Kids Glow LED aquariums is 3 watts.
If you have live plants they will need 8-12 hours of light to thrive.
To replicate this natural day/night cycle automatically, you can use a lighting controller.
The actual output itself generally has a maximum life of about 50000hours, which on a 10-hour light cycle in theory gives the units a maximum life span of 13.7 years.
Realistically we would expect the units to last 6-7 years with good maintenance.
The guarantee is for 1 year.
